Frequently Asked Questions

Q: May I use my own firearm at the range?

A: Absolutely, provided that it is in good working order.



Q:
What types of firearms may I use at your range?

A: We allow all handgun types and calibers and all rifles types in calibers up to, and including 308. Shotguns, handguns with shotgun ammo, black-powder pistols, and black-powder rifles are not allowed.



Q: 
Do you have Firearms for rent?

A: Certainly! We offer a wide selection of rental firearms, including revolvers, semi-auto handguns, AR-15s, and AK-47s. We also rent suppressors and full-auto rifles.

Rental calibers range from 22LR to 223 Remington. Rental costs are $15 per handgun and suppressor, and $20 per rifle, and $50 per full-auto rifle. When renting a firearm from us, you will be required to purchase our ammo for the rented firearm.



Q:
What do I need to bring with me to the range?

A: To be allowed on the range we will require a valid, government-issued ID; hearing protection; and eye protection. Shooters will also be required to fill out a short insurance form, and watch an eight-minute safety video. While this is all that is technically required, You’ll probably also want targets. You may bring your own paper or cardboard targets, or purchase them once you are here. We also have a selection of hearing and eye protection available for purchase. We no longer offer hearing or eye protection for rent.



Q: 
May I shoot my own reloads?

A: Yes. The range provides an ideal testing ground for your reloading experiments. Shooters will be liable for any damage caused by faulty reloads.



Q: 
May I shoot reloads from a third party?

A: Generally, Yes, If you trust their reloading abilities and are willing to be liable for any damage caused by their errors. However please note that we are not allowing reloaded ammo purchased from The D.A.M. Ammo company to be used on the range at this time.



Q: 
May I shoot brand XYZ ammo?

A: It is our policy to allow factory-loaded ammo from reliable manufacturers to be fired on our range. You may bring your own ammo, or purchase it from us. The only ammo not allowed on the range is that consisting of steel-cored bullets or having steel jackets. If you have any doubts about your ammo, simply run a magnet over it. If the ammo is attracted to the magnet in any way, it will not be allowed in the range. Please also be aware that any ammo you bring with you to the range will be subject to the same test before being allowed in. We are also not allowing reloaded ammo from The D.A.M. Ammo company at this time.



Q: 
May I collect my own brass?

A: Yes, you may police your own brass, provided that it has fallen behind the firing line, once your shooting session is concluded. If you are not interested in keeping your brass you may simply leave it on the floor and we will recycle it.



Q: 
How long is the range?

A: The range is 25 yards long.



Q: 
How many people can use the range at one time?

A: The range provides lanes for 6 active shooters at any one time. It has generally been our policy to allow 2 people to use one lane, provided that they are taking turns firing. Please note that the range rental fee is per person, not per lane.



Q: 
I don’t want to shoot, may I simply observe a shooter?

A: Yes, you are allowed to accompany someone into the range for the purpose of observation. While you won’t be charged a lane-use fee, you will be required to provide a valid, government-issued ID, fill out the required paperwork, and watch an 8 minute safety video. You may also observe a shooter via our CCTV system or through the bullet-resistant window without needing to fill out any paperwork or watch the video.



Q: 
May my minor child use the range?

A: Children ages 8 and above may use the range accompanied by an adult parent or legal guardian. In addition to the normally required paperwork, a minor release form will need to be filled out and signed by the adult parent or legal guardian.



Q: 
Is the range public, or by membership/reservation?

A: The range is public, and anyone may use it provided they are able to provide a valid, Government-issued ID, bring or purchase hearing and eye protection, fill out the required paperwork, and watch an 8-minute safety video. We do offer memberships for those who are interested, please scroll to the bottom of this page for information on membership options. Lane reservations are only available to range members.



Q: 
Do you offer military/police discounts?

A: No, not at this time.

Rules of the Range

  1. Firearms must be unloaded and cased unless on the firing line. NO EXCEPTIONS!
  2. No one is ever allowed in front of the firing line.
  3. The range officer is in charge of the range at all times.
  4. If a “CEASE FIRE” command is given make your firearm safe and step back from the firing line immediately.
  5. Always keep your finger off the trigger and out of the trigger guard until you’re ready to fire.
  6. Always point firearms downrange.
  7. If you observe an unsafe condition report it to the range officer immediately. Don’t hesitate to CALL OUT!
  8. Do not shoot the walls or floor of the range.
  9. All rounds must impact the steel back stops.
  10. Drawing from a holster is prohibited.
  11. No rapid fire. You must control your firearm.
  12. Shooters under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
  13. Pregnant women are not permitted on the range.
  14. Ear and eye protection are mandatory before entering the range, and while on the range whether shooting or not.
  15. Food and drinks are prohibited on the range.
  16. Smoking, smokeless tobacco, and E-cigs are prohibited in the store and on the range.
  17. Shooters may collect brass only if it is theirs, has fallen behind the firing line, and their firearms are unloaded and cased. This provision is subject to the judgment of the range safety officer.
